Quick answer: Choose your site type, who builds it, hosting, theme and maintenance below. The calculator gives a realistic price range for your first year and each year after, with a line-by-line breakdown.
How this calculator works
The ranges are based on typical 2026 market prices for domains, hosting, premium themes, plugins, freelancers, agencies and maintenance plans. They are estimates, not quotes — your location, project size and the people you hire will change the final price. The first-year figure includes design and build; the yearly figure covers only running costs.
What each cost means
- Domain: your web address, renewed yearly.
- Hosting: the server your site runs on. Managed hosting costs more but includes speed, backups and expert support.
- Theme: the design template. Free themes are fine for many sites.
- Plugins: extra features. Stores and membership sites need more paid plugins.
- Design and build: the one-off cost of creating the site.
- Maintenance: updates, backups, security and support.
